#2. When looking through Sara's pictures I enjoyed the theme she had going on with outdoors. I agreed with all of her elements/ principles she assigned with her pictures. I enjoyed her picture of shape with the flowers in an unusual shape and that picture could also be used to describe color. When looking through Lily's blog I also agreed with all of her elements/ principles she assigned to her pictures. The pictures that stood out to me and really expressed their elements/ principles were the elephant tattoo describing balance and her picture of face painting for emphasis.
#3. When looking through Sara's, I noticed she had went to a different art gallery, but definitely an art gallery I would like to visit. When looking through Lily's, I noticed we did go to the same art gallery by recognizing The Body and Soul artwork that I also used in my blog. I used The Body and Soul for an artwork that made and impression on me and Lily had used it for an artwork she felt a connection with. I think Lily and I had the same thought process when finding this artwork but just chose different sections to put it into.
#4. On Sara's blog, the one artwork that stood out way more than the others was Phillip Stearn's exhibit. Just the video of the flashing lights without a description was enough to catch my eye but after reading her description I was really amazed. I would love to know where this artist came up with such a unique idea and how he incorporated it. On Lily's blog I really enjoyed the Mirrored Room exhibit, it looks amazing. We went to the same art gallery but sadly I could not find this exhibit. I would have loved to be able to stand in there myself and feel isolated. The picture she took really emphasis what it would look like. I would like to know if the artist used the Mirrored Room to represent isolation?
#5. Looking through both of their blogs, I find it helpful what they thought of the pictures they found at the art gallery. It gives me an idea how other minds look at an artwork different than I would. Even on Lily's blog we had the same picture and she used it in a different section than I had so she felt something different than I did when looking at the artwork. Also the elements/ principles project I find helpful to know what other people might incorporate with color, shape, emphasis. It gives a whole new way to look at things.
#6. Looking through the comments on my blog of project one and two I find it helpful to know other people's opinion on my work. It gives an idea how to look at it in their perspective also.
