Art Making/Material Exploration

#2. I chose these masks because looking through each, these stood out the most. Seeing these, the features stood out and put an idea of pictures of masks in mind. The hair on the wooden mask, the black eyes and yellow strip, and the ears(feathers), nose and circular eyes made me interested in using them for my mask.

#4. For my mask, elements I used was texture for the ears by using feathers. Color for the eyes, feathers, hair, and yellow streak on the forehead. Line for the eyes, nose, and shape of the mask. For the principles, I used variety for the amount of different things like the feathers, string hair, and markers to add color. I used emphasis for the hair, ears, and nose making them stand out the most.

#5. Sketching the mask out was a lot easier than actually completing it. I expected it to come out way better but with my materials I had available did not cooperate like I expected. I did think it was cool to create something completely random though.
